Hi all, I read this book earlier in the summer and loved it. I learn things about the war that I didn't know, and I love to learn new things. While the book had a lot of sadness, the kindness of the people of Guernsey gave the story a sense of hope. I didn't like the girl who went down to write the story, at first, but got to like her better as the book progressed.

I thought that I had commented on this already but I guess it didn't post. I was shocked that you didn't like this character since the first thing she does is dump her fiance because he moved her books. What's not to like about that?
